Its power connects directly to Persona Lorfield, a young man who begins the story without fully understanding the history carried by his own name.
Long before Persona understands what awaits him, the Seed is already surrounded by sacrifice. Fortego and Cyblst discover the ancient Lorfield Seed within Aurora’s Temple, where it represents the possibility of restoration. Forests may heal. Fields may grow again. Storms may quiet. Divided people may find peace. Yet possessing such power also makes the Seed one of the most dangerous prizes in Skylight.
The forces of Conifer understand its importance.
Maz Mavros, Queen Indigo, Babyl of the Black, and the Mazoks seek power over lands that refuse to submit to them. The Lorfield Seed stands directly against that ambition. Whoever controls its power may influence the future of Decision and perhaps all of Skylight.
For Persona, however, the Seed presents a deeper problem.
He is told that only he can wield the Lorfield fully. Suddenly, a young graduate who is still trying to understand his family, friendships, grief, and future is confronted with expectations far greater than himself. Leadership becomes more than a dream. It becomes a responsibility.
